A 54-year-old woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash early Sunday on the Lumsden Beach access road.
According to the RCMP, officers from the Lumsden detachment responded at about 2:30 a.m., along with EMS and Regina Beach Fire and Rescue to reports of a rollover that had occurred on Township Road 211.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found the woman dead outside the vehicle. The other occupant, a 54-year-old man, was found inside the vehicle. He was removed from the vehicle and taken to hospital in Regina for treatment.
The Mounties said their initial investigation determined the SUV was heading west when it rolled into a ditch. They added that alcohol “is being investigated as a factor in this collision.”
The RCMP said it could take several months to complete the investigation.
