Severe thunderstorm warnings and watches are in place from one provincial border to the other in Saskatchewan.
Areas around Meadow Lake, Prince Albert, and Melfort are under severe thunderstorm watches.
While Hudson Bay, Buffalo Narrows, La Ronge, and Pelican Narrows have severe thunderstorm warnings, as well as heavy rainfall warnings.
Sara Hoffman, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, said watches in certain areas could change to warnings as the day goes on.
“There is a good chance of severe thunderstorms forming, so make a plan to get to safety,” she said.
If storms to develop she expects wind gusts up to 90 km/h and golfball-sized hail.
