Four men have been charged after a shooting in Regina on Monday — and one of those facing charges is the victim.
In a media release Tuesday, the Regina Police Service said officers responded just before 10 a.m., to the 3400 block of Dewdney Avenue for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.
Investigators got a search warrant for a house in the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street, where they found guns and ammunition.
Police are still trying to determine what happened, but they have charged two Regina men — a 33-year-old and a 20-year-old — with attempted murder. An 18-year-old man was charged with possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a scheduled substance.
The victim of the shooting is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking.
