The Saskatchewan Health Authority is warning of potential COVID-19 exposures in Assiniboia as well as in north-central areas of the province.
In a media release Friday morning, the SHA said an individual who later tested positive for COVID-19 visited two businesses in Assiniboia on Aug. 25 when the person was likely infectious.
The businesses were the Fresh Start restaurant at 122 Third Ave. West from approximately 1:20 p.m. to 1:50 p.m., and the Timothy Daniels Clothing Company at 316 Centre St., from about 2 p.m. to 2:50 p.m.
The SHA also issued exposure alerts stretching from Prince Albert to North Battleford over a span of four days.
It began at Prince Albert’s Lake Country Co-op Food Store Cornerstone. The individuals were there from noon to 1 p.m. on Aug. 28.
Then, they were at Memorial Lake Regional Park campground, including the mini-golf course. That exposure was from Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. to this past Sunday at 11 a.m.
Next up was the general store in Shell Lake. The exposure was on Aug. 29 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Additionally, on Aug. 29, the individuals were at the liquor vendor at the Teddy Bears Den in Shell Lake from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The final exposure was indicted on Monday in North Battleford, at the Tim Hortons on Territorial Drive from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
There was no indication in Thursday’s release if the individuals were part of a group or known to one another.
Public health officials are advising individuals who were at the locations on the specified dates and times to immediately self-isolate if they have or had COVID-19 symptoms. Additionally, arrange testing by calling the HealthLine 811.
Others who visited the locations on the specified dates and times without symptoms are asked to self-monitor for 14 days.
Individuals may develop symptoms from two to 14 days following exposure to COVID-19.
