The Roughriders beat the Stampeders for their first win since July.
The RCMP is looking for help from the public in naming the future crop of police dogs across Canada.
The ask comes from the Police Dog Service Training Centre, located in Innisfail, Alberta. The names will serve 13 German Shepherd puppies who will be born at the centre in 2021.
“Children are encouraged to be original and imaginative in finding names that will serve these puppies well in their careers with Canada’s national police force,” states the release from RCMP.
“When thinking of names, it is important to keep in mind that these are working police dogs, not pets.”
Winning names will be selected by staff at the centre, with a draw determining the winning entry in the event of multiple submissions of the same name.
The RCMP outlined rules for the contest in the release, which include the names having to start with the letter “P,” no more than nine letters per name, the name having to be one to two syllables and contestants need to be four to 14 years of age to be eligible.
