A Regina-area chiropractor has been charged with sexual assault after two women came forward alleging he acted in a way that was “inappropriate and unwanted” during their chiropractic treatment.
Dr. Ruben Adam Manz, 45, was arrested on Tuesday. The Emerald Park man has been released until August, when he is to appear in court.
The allegations were received by police in early April, just days apart, but the alleged incidents occurred between 2012 and 2019.
One woman alleges she was assaulted between Jan. 28, 2012 and June 1, 2016. The second woman contacted Regina police alleging she was assaulted between April and August of 2019. Both women reported the same man.
“The actions described could not be categorized as a necessary part of the treatment sought by the victims,” the Regina Police Service said in a news release.
Officers investigated the allegations before charging Manz.
