The $1.33M rent reduction comes from what the club owed during seasons impacted by the pandemic.
For the second straight year, the Regina Folk Festival in Victoria Park has been cancelled.
Festival organizers made the announcement in a media release Friday, admitting “this is perhaps not surprising news to share.”
The 2021 edition was scheduled for Aug. 6-8.
“Our programming this summer will not be the full Regina Folk Festival experience,” the release said. “With this in mind, we would like to offer you the option of a full refund for your purchase or to donate your ticket purchase to the RFF. Donating to the Regina Folk Festival ensures that we are able to provide excellent music experiences for years to come!”
Organizers said they would be contacting ticket holders to discuss options.
