Saturday was a busy night for Regina firefighters.
Crews responded to three blazes within about three hours.
The first was a set of garage fires on the 1300 block of Princess Street, just north of Pasqua Hospital.
They were called to the area at about 10:50 p.m. There, they saw two garages next to each other on fire, while another was ablaze across the street.
They managed to stamp out the flames in an hour. Two of the garages were completely destroyed.
Then, they received calls about two more garages on fire on the 2200 block of Argyle Street, in the Cathedral neighbourhood, at 11:40 p.m.
Some firefighters from the first set of blazes made their way over, along with crews from other parts of the city.
The damage was heavy, but not as serious as with the earlier set of blazes.
Finally, they were called to extinguish a shed on fire on the 2900 block of Rae Street, near the Legistlative building.
They were able to keep it from spreading to any other buildings, but the shed was destroyed.
Nobody was hurt in any of the incidents. Investigators and police are still looking into the causes. The department told 980 CJME that there were similarities between all the fires, but it’s too soon to say if they were connected.
