The Regina Pats released Monday their home schedule for the 2021-22 WHL season.
The slate comprises 34 games, with the first set for Oct. 2 against the Prince Albert Raiders. The Pats’ home schedule is to wrap up April 1 against the Winnipeg ice.
“Today is another step towards what we know will be an exciting 2021-22 season for our organization. We can’t wait to welcome our fans back to the Brandt Centre and provide them with a first-class product on and off the ice,” John Paddock, the Pats’ vice-president of hockey operations and general manager, said in a release.
The Pats didn’t have any fans at games during the 2020-21 season, which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Regina acted as the hub city for the East Division.
Regina has 10 home games on Fridays and 10 on Saturdays. There are eight games on Wednesdays, two on Mondays, two on Tuesdays and two on Sundays.
All but four of the Pats’ home games are to begin at 7 p.m. There also are three games that are to begin at 4 p.m., and one that’s to start at 2 p.m.
Regina is to play host to the Moose Jaw Warriors five times, the Raiders and Brandon Wheat Kings four times each, the Ice, Calgary Hitmen, Lethbridge Hurricanes, Saskatoon Blades and Swift Current Broncos three times apiece and the Edmonton Oil Kings, Medicine Hat Tigers and Red Deer Rebels twice each.
