People gathered at Pepsi Park in the Core neighbourhood for a barbeque event acknowledging the 17 years that Tamra Keepness has been missing.
Keepness, who was five years old at the time she went missing, was last seen at 10:30 p.m. in her home on the 1800 block of Ottawa Street on July 5, 2004.
She was declared missing the next day and her whereabouts have remained a mystery since then.
The girl’s disappearance launched one of the largest search and rescue efforts in Regina’s history.
“Events like today, we hope that wherever Tamra is: that she feels the love of all of us and she understands how much her tragic disappearance has brought us all together.” – Erica Beaudin, RTSIS
