Twenty-six new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Saskatchewan and another 7,286 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
No new deaths were reported Thursday.
Active cases in the province now number 287 and recoveries total 48,694.
A look at the numbers
Saskatchewan has now reported 49,556 cases of COVID-19.
The new cases were reported in the far northwest (14), Saskatoon (five), northwest (two), far northeast (one), north central (one), Regina (one) and south central (one). One case is pending residence information.
One case was reassigned to the northwest and five cases from Saskatchewan residents tested out-of-province have been added to Regina (four) and southeast (one).
Saskatchewan hospitals report 59 COVID-19 patients, 48 of whom are receiving inpatient care: Regina (15), Saskatoon (15), north central (seven), northwest (seven), central east (one), far northwest (one), south central (one) and southeast (one).
In intensive care units, there are 11 patients: Saskatoon (five), Regina (three), north central (two) and northwest (one).
The seven-day average of new cases of the virus is 30 in Saskatchewan.
On Wednesday, 1,744 COVID-19 tests were processed. To date, 949,044 have been processed in the province.
No new lineage results were reported Thursday for variants of concern (VOC). Of the reported VOCs in Saskatchewan, 505 have been Delta.
Vaccination update
A total of 1,366,006 vaccines have been administered in Saskatchewan.
The doses administered today were to residents in Regina (2,149), Saskatoon (1,846), southeast (600), northwest (595), north central (480), central east (395), northeast (222), south central (216), central west (200), southwest (142), far northwest (86), far northeast (67) and far north central (21). Doses administered with zone of residence pending numbered 267.
Of residents at or over the age of 12 in the province, 74 per cent have received their first dose of the vaccine and 60 per cent are fully vaccinated.
