North Battleford RCMP and the Saskatchewan Crime Reduction Team have seized five kilograms – or 11 pounds – of cocaine, during a traffic stop.
The seizure happened on Aug. 13, 2021 when police searched a vehicle.
S/Sgt. Jason Teniuk said the seizure is equal to around 50,000 doses of cocaine.
“Consider 50,000 doses of drugs entering a community of around 14,000 people. It’s a reminder of how significant the impact of one drug seizure can be on a community.”
No charges have been laid yet and the investigation is continuing.
