The Regina Pats Hockey Club has signed forward Zach Stringer to their roster.
The 2003-born player from the Lethbridge Hurricanes was acquired in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
Pats vice president of hockey operations and general manager John Paddock said the team is pleased to add Stringer to their ranks.
“We’ve thought highly of him for a long time. With his ability to score goals, he’ll be a welcome addition to our forward group,” Paddock said.
Stinger as accumulated 52 points in 79 career games, scoring five goals and nine assists for 14 points in 23 games during the shortened 2020-21 season.
Stringer is a six-foot, 170-pound left-winger and originally a first-round pick, eighth overall, by the Hurricanes in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. He’s originally from Lethbridge, Alta.
The Regina Pats 2021 training camp kicks off Sept. 1. The regular-season home opener is scheduled for Sat., Oct. 2 at the Brandt Centre.
