People planning on going to indoor events at Evraz Place will need to mask up.
In a news release Thursday, Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) announced the mask mandate in indoor, city-run spaces applies to its buildings as well.
That means masks are required on the entire campus of Evraz Place, including the Queensbury Convention Centre, AffinityPlex, International Trade Centre, Brandt Centre, Co-operators Centre and Canada Centre Complex.
It’s a bit more lax at Mosaic Stadium. Saskatchewan Roughriders fans will have to wear a mask only in indoor spaces, like lobbies, lounges and washrooms.
The rules don’t apply to kids two years of age or younger, as well as people with medical exemptions.
Anyone at an event with food and drinks, like a hockey game or a wedding, will be allowed to take off their masks to eat or drink.
It also appears athletes, like kids on the rinks at the Co-operators Centre, are an exception.
“Masks are not required during physical activity but must be worn in public spaces,” the release read.
The new rules are to kick in Saturday.
