A 70-year-old man is dead after a hit-and-run Thursday morning in northwest Regina.
In a media release Friday, the Regina Police Service said officers were sent at about 7:25 a.m., to the intersection of Rochdale Boulevard and Cedar Meadow Drive for the report of a collision between an SUV and a pedestrian.
Police were told the man was crossing Rochdale from the south sidewalk when an SUV turned left off Cedar Meadow Drive onto Rochdale. The vehicle hit the man and continued east without stopping.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital by paramedics. Police were told at about 6 p.m., that the man had died.
The vehicle was located and seized, but no one has been charged as yet.
