Three people in the United States have been arrested after threats of a school shooting in Moose Jaw on Saturday.
At 3:20 p.m., police in Moose Jaw were alerted of a school shooting that was going to happen at “Central High School.”
There is no such school in the city, although there is a Central Collegiate.
Moose Jaw police say the threat was shared over Snap Chat and traced the threat to St. Joseph, Missouri.
They contacted the local police department who “were able to confirm the details of the threat and that it did take place in their jurisdiction,” says a news release from Moose Jaw police.
The release says three youth were arrested.
“The safety of our community and students is our top priority, the Moose Jaw Police Service takes these complaints and threats very seriously,” police said.
