Six straight goals powered the Regina Pats to their fourth straight victory Saturday.
Regina scored the game’s first six goals en route to a 6-1 WHL triumph over the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Brandt Centre.
Tanner Howe had two goals for the Pats, who got singles from Zack Stringer, Adam McNutt, Ryker Evans and Cole Carrier. Regina (6-7-0-0) has won four in a row after losing seven straight.
Rylen Roersma had the lone goal for Brandon, which lost its third in a row to fall to 5-9-0-0.
In Saskatoon, Sloan Stanick’s three-goal, one-assist performance helped the Prince Albert Raiders beat the Blades 5-2 to sweep a home-and-home set. P.A. won 5-1 at home on Friday.
Tyson Laventure added two goals and an assist and Kaiden Guhle had three helpers for the Raiders (5-7-0-1), who are 3-0-0-1 in their past four games. Egor Sidorov and Tristen Robins replied for Saskatoon (9-4-1-0).
In Swift Current, the Broncos won their second straight game, defeating the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-2.
Mathew Ward had two goals and two assists and was a plus-5 for Swift Current (4-7-2-1), which got a goal and two helpers from Raphael Pelletier.
Caleb Wyrostok, Josh Filmon, Rylan Gould and Kayden Sadhra-Kang had the other goals for the Broncos. Joe Arntsen and Jett Jones replied for Lethbridge (5-7-0-0).
In Medicine Hat, Denton Mateychuk’s goal at 2:41 of overtime lifted the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 3-2 victory over the Tigers.
Ryder Korczak and Jagger Firkus had the other goals for Moose Jaw (6-7-0-0). Ashton Ferster and Noah Danielson scored for the Tigers (4-6-2-1).
