A 15-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 16-year-old girl in Regina earlier this month.
The girl’s death on Nov. 1 was Regina’s 12th murder of 2021.
The boy, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in Youth Court on Monday.
On Nov. 1, officers were called to a house in the 1200 block of Rae Street for the report of a weapons offence. Police found the girl dead outside the house; they also found a man who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
After an investigation, police arrested the suspect on Friday.
