Six classrooms at five Regina schools are moving to online learning due to COVID-19 cases.
In a release Wednesday afternoon, Regina Public Schools said a Grade 2-3 classroom and a Grade 5-6 room at Albert Community School, an SLC class at Ethel Milliken School, a Grade 5 classroom at Henry Braun School, and a Grade 6-7 room at Dr. A.E. Perry School are the latest in the division to shift to remote instruction.
Students are to return to class Jan. 31 if they’re symptom-free.
Meanwhile, the Regina Catholic School Division reported a class at St. Timothy School also had been closed due to a number of positive cases.
The public division said cases had been detected at Albert, Argyle, Henry Braun, Judge Bryant, Ruth M. Buck, Centennial, Connaught, Coronation Park, Douglas Park, Dr. L.M. Hanna, Harbour Landing, W.S. Hawrylak, Imperial, Henry Janzen, Kitchener, Lakeview, George Lee, MacNeill, Gladys McDonald, McLurg, Marion McVeety, Massey, Ethel Milliken, Elsie Mironuck, Ruth Pawson, Plainsview, W.F. Ready, Thomson, Wilfrid Walker and Wascana Plains elementary schools, Balfour, Campbell, Johnson, Winston Knoll, Sheldon-Williams and Thom collegiates, and Campus Regina Public.
The Catholic division sent letters to families about cases at Sacred Heart, St. Angela Merici, St. Augustine, St. Bernadette, St. Catherine, St. Elizabeth, St. Gabriel, St. Gregory, St. Jerome, St. Joan of Arc, St. Josaphat, St. Kateri, St. Luke, St. Nicholas, St. Pius X, St. Theresa and St. Timothy elementary schools, and at LeBoldus, Miller, O’Neill and Riffel high schools.
