Four people are facing charges after an incident Wednesday night in the 1600 block of Rae Street.
According to the Regina Police Service, officers responded to a gun call just before 9 p.m. A caller said that they had seen a man get out of a vehicle with a gun and believed that someone had been shot.
Police subsequently got a call from a location a few blocks away that suggested two people were sheltering inside a house. After officers arrived, a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound while a 30-year-old woman appeared to have been involved in a fight.
Police got a description of a suspect vehicle, which they found just after 11:30 p.m., in the area of Badham Boulevard and Broad Street. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested five people, one of whom was later released without charges.
A 22-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were charged with attempted murder.
The older man also was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to an order, and one count each of robbery, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, breach of probation, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition in a motor vehicle.
A 21-year-old woman was charged with assault, obstruction (for giving a false name) and failure to comply with conditions of a release order.
A 40-year-old woman is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition in a motor vehicle, and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition.
