The Moose Jaw Police Service is looking for more information after a man was found dead in an alley near Crescent Park on Monday morning.
When police found the man, it was believed that he had been dead for several hours or longer. Police do not believe foul play contributed to his death.
The name of the man has not been released. The family has been notified, and police are still determining the events and timing around his death.
The police did learn that in the days prior to the man’s death, he was in possession of a few items that were not located at the scene. Police are asking the public to help locate these items that the man may have discarded before his death.
Anyone who lives or works in the downtown area and notices any of these items, they may belong to the man and could help the police with its investigation:
- Red and grey backpack, containing toiletries
- A black and white Vans high top shoe
- Blue sweatpants
- Black winter jacket
The investigation is ongoing with the help of the coroner’s office to determine the cause of death.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Moose Jaw Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
