The blizzard sweeping through Saskatchewan and Manitoba is affecting the final week of the Western Hockey League regular season.
On Wednesday morning, the league announced the rescheduling of two games between the Regina Pats and Winnipeg Ice.
The Pats were originally scheduled to visit the Ice in Winnipeg for back-to-back games on Thursday and Friday. Due to extreme weather conditions in Winnipeg, these games will now be played at the Brandt Centre in Regina on Friday and Saturday.
The Ice will be the home team for both games in Regina and will benefit from last change.
Both teams have also agreed to a revenue-sharing model to accommodate the Ice, which will be losing out on two home games.
The Pats have three regular-season games remaining and trail the Swift Current Broncos by two points for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Regina is to complete the regular season Sunday against the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors.
