Police respond to three-vehicle collision on Highway 1

The RCMP says officers responded to a serious collision involving three vehicles on the Trans-Canada Highway on Monday night.

Police arrived at the scene roughly three kilometres east of Balgonie just before midnight.

Very few details have been made available as of Tuesday morning, but according to police, a portion of the eastbound lanes was closed throughout the night with officers diverting traffic to different routes in the area.

As of 10:30 a.m., the section of the road was reopened, according to the Highway Hotline.
