The Canadian Forces Snowbirds have announced the cancellation of a couple more air shows.
The 431 Air Demonstration Squadron based out of 15 Wing Moose Jaw has been on an operational pause since Aug. 2 after a spare jet crash landed in Fort St. John, B.C.
The Snowbirds have cancelled their performances at the Canadian International Air Show in Toronto this weekend and an air show in London, Ont. from Sept. 9 to 11.
The operational pause was ordered by the Canadian Armed Forces’ Operational Airworthiness Authority. The fleet of Tutors will be grounded until an operational airworthiness risk assessment can be completed.
The cause of the Fort St. John accident is still under investigation. No one was seriously injured in the accident.
The Snowbirds had previously announced the cancellation of performances in Penticton, B.C., White Rock, B.C., Abbotsford, B.C., Edmonton and Debert, N.S.
