A little shaken up.
That’s how Karen Kohm says she felt after a vehicle drove into her business on Tuesday morning.
“A young lady (accelerated), she hit the gas instead of hitting the reverse and went through the front of our building,” Kohm said as she stood outside INVU Medical Aesthetics on Hill Avenue.
Regina police say the crash happened shortly after 10 a.m., when the vehicle drove through the front door and window of the business while staff and customers were inside.
“It was a loud bang. We thought perhaps maybe the shelving had fallen,” Kohm said. “Someone else thought maybe there was an accident, but we didn’t expect a car to be through our front window …
“(There was a lot of) disbelief. Everybody was in shock.”
Staff told 980 CJME there were about five people inside the business at the time of the crash. No one was hurt in the business or in the car.
Kohm says she has owned the business for 13 years, but has only been at the Hill Avenue location for around five years.
She says there are many steps to determine what will happen with her business next.
“We are determining if there are structural issues involved,” Kohm said. “If not, then we can board up the front and continue business as usual until we get the front cleaned up.”
No other details have been provided by police on whether or not charges will be laid.
