Regina police are asking for help from the public after a woman was seriously hurt in a shooting.
According to police, officers were called to a location on the 1400 block of Rae Street just before 1:30 a.m. Friday morning, after someone reported hearing a gunshot. When police arrived, they learned the victim was a 29-year-old woman.
“The female victim was transported to hospital where she underwent surgery,” police said in a written statement.
“At this time, the victim’s injuries appear to be non-life-threatening and she is in stable condition.”
Police asked anyone living in the area to check surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity that could help the investigation, and asked anyone with information on the shooting to contact the police service or Crime Stoppers.
