The Pierceland RCMP is on the lookout for the suspects who stole a truck and shot at a pair of witnesses earlier this month.
On Wednesday, the Mounties issued a media release detailing the Oct. 12 incident.
The RCMP said “unknown individuals” went on a rural property east of Pierceland and stole a black Dodge 3500 with an attached livestock trailer. The trailer was empty at the time.
Two people who saw the theft happen followed the truck as it went west on Highway 55.
“Occupants of the stolen truck then discharged a firearm at the witnesses, striking their vehicle,” the RCMP said. “One of the occupants received non-life-threatening injuries that required treatment at hospital.”
The RCMP said the truck and trailer have since been recovered in Alberta, but suspects haven’t been identified and charges haven’t been laid.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Pierceland RCMP at 306-839-3330 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
