Regina police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have launched an investigation after the body of a man was found in Wascana Lake on Thursday afternoon.
Just before 3:30 p.m., police officers and firefighters responded to the area of Avenue C and Lakeshore Drive after a caller reported seeing a person in the water.
Firefighters searched the lake and recovered the body of the man, who hadn’t been identified as of Friday morning. Police didn’t release any other details, including if foul play was involved.
