Rolan Milligan will be sticking around Saskatchewan for a couple more years.
On Friday the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced the 28-year-old has been signed to a two-year contract extension. The Florida product originally signed with the Riders in 2021, appearing in one game with the club that year. The 28-year-old enjoyed a breakout season in 2022, however, recording 71 defensive tackles, a sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a team-high eight pass knockdowns over 17 games.
Milligan was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys after the 2016 NFL Draft. He spent 2017 with the Detroit Lions and signed with the Indianapolis Colts in October of 2018. He played in 11 regular season games with the Colts, recording 15 tackles.
Milligan spent his senior year at the University of Toledo, where he amassed 48 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, five pass deflections, and three forced fumbles. Prior to attending
Toledo he spent a season at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
