Mark McMorris is used to going down mountains, but now he finds himself sitting alone at the top of one.
The 29-year-old Regina product is now the all-time Winter X Games medal leader after capturing gold in men’s snowboard slopestyle Sunday in Aspen, Colo. McMorris has 22 medals at the Winter X Games — 11 of them gold.

McMorris placed fourth in the men’s snowboard big air competition Saturday with a score of 65.000.
The Canadian snowboarder also won the slopestyle event in 2022.
McMorris took home a bronze medal in the slopestyle event at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
