A 13-year-old girl has been charged with uttering threats after allegedly making threats toward a Regina school.
Police didn’t name the school in question, but the address corresponds with The Crescents School on Retallack Street.
According to police, officers were contacted at 8 a.m. Friday after staff members “learned of threats made by a student towards the school.”
The school was placed into what police called “secure the building mode” during the majority of the morning while officers investigated the threat. That means access to the building was controlled, and outdoor activities were paused, while indoor activities continued as normal, police explained.
Police said officers located the 13-year-old suspect at 11:20 a.m., and the school resumed normal operation shortly after.
The girl, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is set to make a court appearance in July.
