Police in Regina are asking the public to help identify a pickup truck after the driver allegedly injured a woman and took off.
According to police, officers were driving on Dewdney Avenue at about 9:40 p.m. Monday, when they spotted a woman lying in the road.
“At the same time, a witness called in to the Regina Police Service Communications Centre reporting that a woman had been hit by a truck that left the scene of the accident,” police added in a statement.
The woman received first aid from police and paramedics, and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim, police said, explained she was walking across the street when the truck hit her from behind.
Police said officers are searching for the light-coloured pickup truck allegedly involved, and asked the public for help identifying the vehicle and its owner.
Anyone with information that could help the case was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
