Things will run a bit differently at Saskatchewan Polytechnic in Regina on Monday, as a new movie is being filmed at the school.
Parking availability, building access, and bus stop locations were changed Monday at the Regina campus to accommodate the film’s shooting schedule.
Lowell Dean, who directed ‘WolfCop’ 2014, will be directing ‘Die Alone,’ a film set in the future after a virus causes society to collapse.
Stars involved with the film include Douglas Smith from ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ and ‘Big Little Lies,’ Carrie-Anne-Moss from the ‘Matrix’ franchise, and Frank Grillo from ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’
‘Die Alone’ is produced by Minds Eye Entertainment, a company based in Regina.
Due to the film’s production, people who work at Saskatchewan Polytechnic were encouraged to work remotely if they are able.
Employees were advised to park in student parking if their designated space is taken up.
Filming will block the main entrance, so students and staff should use the east and west entrances instead.
Accessible parking and visitor parking in lots two and three will be blocked by the shoot. Accessible parking will be moved to lot nine near the east entrance.
The bus stop has been moved to the main entrance of Wascana Parkway on Monday, near the intersection leading into the Regina main campus.
Service elevator F has been reserved for the film crew to use.
