A 20-year-old man is facing charges after two people were hit by a vehicle Monday in Regina.
Police say officers responded at about 9 p.m. to a call about two people being struck and lying in the middle of the road at College Avenue and Cornwall Street. When officers arrived, they found two people with what police called “significant injuries.”
Police said the victims were taken to hospital by paramedics.
The driver remained at the scene of the collision. Police allege he had been driving in the rain without his windshield wipers on when he went through a red light and hit the pedestrians.
The man was charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He made his first court appearance Tuesday.
