A male pedestrian is dead after he was hit by a large truck in Regina’s east end Friday afternoon.
According to police, officers are on the scene of the collision, which happened shortly before 1 p.m. Friday on 7th Avenue East.
When officers arrived, police said they found the male victim lying in the roadway, and it appeared he had been “struck by a large truck.”
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.
“Officers from our Traffic Safety Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are currently on scene and an investigation is underway,” the police service said in a statement.
“Motorists are asked to choose an alternate route as the area around the 1500 Block of 7th Avenue East is closed while police investigate.”
