A 28-year-old Moose Jaw man is lucky to be alive after a scary home invasion Wednesday night, and one of the suspects is still on the run.
According to police, officers got a call at about 8 p.m. about “a suspicious occurrence” at a home on Irving Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim inside suffering from multiple stab wounds and a “serious non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head.”
He was rushed to a hospital for treatment, police said.
Police said that while officers were investigating the home, they found and seized a kilogram of fentanyl – which has an estimated street value of $400,000 – along with $6,700 in cash.
Two suspects in the case have been identified, even though police said both had already fled the scene by the time officers arrived.
One suspect, 28-year-old Joshua Bradley Adams, was arrested without incident. He’s been charged with breaking and entering, attempted murder, possessing a firearm while prohibited and possessing a firearm without a valid licence. He’s set to appear in court Friday morning.
The other suspect, 29-year-old Gill Ryan Perreault, is now a wanted man, on charges of breaking and entering and attempted murder.
The investigation has not yet concluded, police said, and an update will be shared once more information is available.
