The dangerous persons alert issued for Montreal Lake Cree Nation has been called off after one of two men was located by police.
RCMP cancelled the alert Thursday evening stating in a release there is no longer a risk to public safety.
Police said one person was taken into custody, but continue to look for 29-year-old Justice Bird.
Bird is 5 foot 9 and weighing approximately 166 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and has several facial tattoos. Last known to be wearing a white ball cap and black and white clothes.
RCMP said the public can expect to see an increased police presence in area and should remain vigilant.
“Bird is considered dangerous, may be armed and should not be approached,” RCMP said as the investigation is ongoing
One injured person reported to police, as noted in the emergency alert was transported to hospital, but RCMP had no update on their condition.
Montreal Lake Cree Nation is located about 100 kilometres north of Prince Albert.
