A 20-year-old Regina man has been charged after police allege he smashed windows at a high school in the city.
Police said they got a call Wednesday morning reporting an act of vandalism at a high school in the 2600 block of Coronation Street. Police didn’t identify the school, but that address corresponds to Sheldon-Williams Collegiate.
A release said the School Resource Officer went to the school and saw “more than a dozen windows on the building had large holes smashed in them. The window of a school vehicle had also been broken.”
Police identified a suspect and arrested him in the 3800 block of Regina Avenue.
He was charged with mischief over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, failure to comply with a probation order, and breaching a conditional sentence order.
The man made his first court appearance Friday.
