A scary situation unfolded in Moose Jaw on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to a 911 call about a person who was being held against their will and threatened inside a home at a local trailer court.
“It was reported to Police that the victim was pulled out of their vehicle and taken into a nearby residence,” police said in a statement.

“While in the residence, the victim was threatened by approximately six of the individuals by way of violence and brandishing weapons. The victim was able to escape the residence after a short time, suffering no injuries.”
Police said the victim and the six perpetrators were known to each other, and said the incident wasn’t a random one.
“There is no danger to the general public,” police noted.
After an investigation, three people were arrested and charged with robbery, forcible confinement and extortion. Arrest warrants have been issued for the remaining three suspects, police noted.
