Mounties in Nipawin are asking for surveillance footage captured early Monday morning that could help solve a shooting.
According to the RCMP, officers were called to the area of Third Avenue West near Second and Third streets at around 3 a.m., when they found a man suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by two slim men wearing black clothing.

“An altercation occurred and a firearm was discharged, injuring the victim,” police said in a statement.
Police asked anyone who captured surveillance footage in the area to contact the local RCMP detachment, and urged anyone with information that could help the case to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
“If investigators determine an imminent risk to public safety exists, we will notify the public,” the RCMP added.
