Noah Zerr is getting a chance to return to Saskatchewan to play football.
The Langenburg-born offensive lineman has signed with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Zerr was previously with the B.C. Lions after the west-coast club selected him in the second round (12th overall) of the 2022 CFL draft. He suited up for four games in his debut season. Zerr signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in June for the 2023 season.
The 6-foot-7, 330-pounder spent five seasons at the University of Saskatchewan with the Huskies. He played in 41 U Sports games, primarily at left tackle, and helped the Huskies capture the Hardy Cup and Uteck Bowl in 2021.
He wasn’t the only addition the Riders made on Friday, as the team signed a pair of Americans on the offensive side of the ball.
The CFL club has added offensive lineman Jacob Brammer and receiver O’Joshua Bunton.
Brammer, a product of Richmond, Texas, played one collegiate season at Vanderbilt University, starting 11 games at right tackle. The Commodores’ offensive line only allowed 15 sacks in 2022.

His best season was in 2021, where he recorded 467 yards and four touchdowns.
Bunton was also a member of the track and field team, earning 2022 NCAA Division II First-Team All-American honours in both the 100-metre and 200 metre-races, becoming the first two-time All-American in the school’s history.
He set a school record with a time of 10.36 seconds in the 100-metre sprint, and also earned the 2022 Lane College Male Athlete of the Year award.
