Pedestrian hit in Regina crash dies in hospital

The man who was hit by a vehicle Wednesday near Holy Rosary Cathedral has died.

Police said the crash happened Wednesday at around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Cameron Street. Police were told a pedestrian who was crossing the street had been hit by a vehicle.

At the scene, police found an injured man who got medical attention from paramedics and Regina Fire and Protective Services personnel. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

In an update sent out in an email Saturday, police said the victim had died.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. In Saturday’s update, police said the incident was still under investigation.

“It has not yet been determined what charges, if any, will result pending the outcome of this investigation,” the police release said.
