A release from the ministry Thursday said the company contravened a clause of the regulations that required it to cover an “opening or hole in a floor or other work surface into which a worker could step or fall.”
After the guilty plea, the court levied a fine of $17,142.86 with a surcharge of $6,857.14. Three other charges were stayed.
