When it comes to crooks, Moose Jaw police gotta catch ’em all.
After a traffic stop Tuesday in the 1000 block of Stadacona Street East, officers found 25 boxes of Pokémon and sports cards in the back seat of the vehicle. Police believe the cards were stolen, and investigators don’t know who the owner is.
While investigating, officers also determined the vehicle matched the description of one that had been reported stolen from Regina on Sunday.
Police said officers searched the driver and found 35.6 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $3,560, and 67.3 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $5,384.
A search of the passenger turned up a small amount of fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia.
The driver, a 44-year-old man, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, failure to comply with an undertaking, and obstructing a peace officer.
The passenger, a 22-year-old man, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and possession of a Schedule 1 substance.
They made their first court appearances Wednesday morning.
