Mounties are investigating two gun-related incidents in the northern community of Deschambault Lake, one of which left a man with an apparent gunshot wound.
In the first case, police were called to a home in the community at around 7 a.m. on Monday morning after getting a report of a possible gunshot. Police found a broken window that appeared to have been shot out.
Soon after, RCMP officers were called to a local clinic where they found a man receiving treatment for a non-life-threatening wound that appeared to be a gunshot.

“Preliminary investigation has determined these incidents are not random in nature and are likely connected,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“If subsequent investigation determines an imminent risk to public safety exists, we will notify the public.”
The Mounties asked anyone with information on either incident – or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Monday – to contact police or make an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers.
