Two people have been charged after a pair of gun calls in Regina.
Police say that on Sunday at around 1:30 a.m., officers were sent to a house in the 1100 block of McTavish Street in the Windsor Place neighbourhood after a tipster said they’d heard a shot.
Officers got to the house and found it in darkness with no one around. They saw a man walking in a nearby alley and detained him as part of their investigation.
Police identified the man and found he was wanted on warrants, including for gun offences. He was arrested and a search turned up a gun and ammunition, which was a breach of his court-ordered conditions.
Officers couldn’t confirm that a gun had been fired, and no one was found to be hurt.
The 36-year-old man was charged with four weapons-related offences and one breach of conditions.

The other call occurred Friday just after 9 a.m., when officers were sent to the 2700 block of Fifth Avenue in the North Central area after a caller reported seeing a person carrying a gun.
Officers found two males in the east alley of the 1000 block of Rae Street and the one with the gun ran between houses after being told to stop.
Police arrested him in the west alley and seized the gun, which turned out to be a loaded AirSoft BB gun. Officers also found a large knife on the suspect.
The 16-year-old was charged with possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
