Three people are in custody after a shooting in Bell’s Point.
According to the RCMP, officers from the La Ronge detachment got a report of an injured man in Bell’s Point at around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday. He was flown by air ambulance to a Saskatoon hospital with what police described as serious injuries.
“Investigation determined that three individuals, dressed in all black, approached the victim a he was sitting in a vehicle,” the RCMP said in a statement. “A firearm was discharged, injuring the victim. The three individuals then fled on foot.”

On Monday, the RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team executed a search warrant at a home in Bell’s Point in connection with the shooting.
While the warrant was being executed, police asked the public to avoid the area and students at two local schools were kept inside as a precaution.
“Officers have brought three persons of interest into custody,” the RCMP said. “The investigation continues and we will provide updates when we are able to do so.”
Mounties said the public will be notified if any imminent safety risk is identified, and asked anyone with information that could help the investigation to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
