The City of Regina has opened a new accessible washroom in Victoria Park.
“This initiative, directed by Council, is in response to community needs and underscores the City’s commitment to providing essential services for both residents and visitors,” the city said in a media release.
The single-stall, all-gender facility – which is located on the west end of Pat Fiacco Plaza on Lorne Street – features a change table for babies.
The washroom is to be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., which the city said was “informed by lessons learned during a recent porta-potty pilot project” on the plaza.
“Operating hours may be subject to review and change in the late spring and summer months based on usage data, allowing the City to adapt to the evolving needs of the community,” the release said.
