8:30 – More than 100 people are dead after an attack on a Moscow concert hall on Friday. The Islamic State group, or IS, has taken credit for the attack, but Russian president, Vladimir Putin, is keen on blaming the West. Colleen Bell, an associate professor at the University of Saskatchewan with expertise in international relations and the politics of security, joins guest host, Tamara Cherry, to discuss the situation.
9:00 – Saskatchewan RCMP are investigating the deaths of four people at a rural home near Neudorf, about 135 kilometres east of Regina. Four adults were found dead in the home during a wellness check on Sunday night. The deaths are considered suspicious and 980 CJME reporter, Gillian Massie, is in the Neudorf community this morning.

Through a digital storytelling project, Prof. Bobby Henry has been sharing the story of knowledge keeper, Terri Hansen-Gardiner’s battle with cancer in hopes of raising healthcare awareness in Metis communities. Henry and Hansen-Gardiner join Tamara Cherry to share their journey in working on this important project.
10:30 – A recent bust on illicit cigarettes in Saskatchewan made headlines thanks to careful work by the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol. Sergeant Craig Gelsinger with the SHP joins Tamara Cherry on the show to talk about the bust and other work the SHP is responsible for in the province.
11:00 – As Saskatchewan teachers and the provincial government remain at an impasse in negotiations over a new contract, students in Saskatchewan are struggling. While older students have been frustrated to see band festivals and sports events cancelled or rescheduled, younger students are missing the structure and certainty of normal school schedules without job action. Speech-language pathologist, Maegan Mason, speaks with Tamara Cherry about this and who is working to support kids in addition to teachers.
