It’s nearly time to tee it up in Regina.
The City of Regina announced Monday that the driving ranges at the Murray, Joanne Goulet and Tor Hill golf courses are to open Wednesday.
Then on Saturday, the courses at the Murray and Joanne Goulet as well as 18 holes at the Tor Hill are to open. The Lakeview Par-3 and the other nine holes at Tor Hill will remain closed for a bit longer.
The online tee time booking system at the city-operated courses opened Monday, and golfers can book tee times up to five days in advance. All bookings are subject to weather conditions, including frost.
Tee times can be booked here.
“Last year, the Tor Hill course was the second-most attended course in the province with over 49,400 visits between May and October,” the city said in a release. “All four City of Regina golf courses combined provided more than 119,700 rounds of golf during 2023.”
In 2023, a snowstorm in late spring pushed opening dates into May.
The Wascana Country Club is expected to open April 19, weather permitting. The range at the Wascana opened Friday.
It’s unclear when the Royal Regina Golf Club and Flowing Springs Golf Greens will open. The driving range at Flowing Springs is slated to open Wednesday, while the range at the Royal Regina also could open this week.
